“Ray and I were honored that our friends at TEX-ABOTA asked us to be part of this excellent event,” says Mr. Hamilton. “It was especially nice to see so many fellow lawyers dedicated to protecting everyone’s right to a jury trial, preserving the independence of our judicial system, and developing and supporting civics education.”
The program presented by Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Khirallah focused on their work in winning a $7.3 billion verdict last year on behalf of the family of a North Texas woman who was stabbed to death by a cable TV repairman. The award handed down by a jury in Dallas was the year’s largest in the U.S. and was recognized as the “Most Impressive Plaintiffs Verdict of 2022” by the Courtroom View Network (CVN).
Attorneys from across Texas and beyond attended the event at the Eldorado Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In addition to the program by the Hamilton Wingo team, the two- day seminar covered presentations involving other major court cases heard during the past few years, including the Deepwater Horizon oil rig disaster and the Kyle Rittenhouse homicide trial.
