Lisa Blue is the lead donor along with attorneys Jeff Tillotson and Chris Hamilton and developer Don Williams.
The $1.2 million will be paid over five years to support legal services related to eviction, rental agreements, property titles, child support and custody, immigration, wills and probate, veterans claims and other issues, Blue said.
It will happen through the Community Lawyering Center, jointly operated by Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas and UNT Dallas College of Law.
“Cases are handled by law students from UNT Dallas College of Law, and all law students are supervised by faculty from UNT Dallas College of Law and experienced attorneys from Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, the Dallas Public Defender’s Office and other qualified attorneys,” Blue said.
