DALLAS – Trial lawyers Barrett Robin and Damian Williams from the Dallas plaintiffs’ personal injury and wrongful death litigation firm Hamilton Wingo have earned selections on the 2023 Texas Rising Stars list of the state’s leading young attorneys.
Thomson Reuters’ legal division publishes the annual Texas Rising Stars list based on nominations from law firm managing partners and other attorneys, feedback from third parties, independent research by the list’s editors, and a final review by a blue-ribbon panel of local lawyers. Mr. Robin, Mr. Williams, and the other 2023 honorees are among less than 2.5 percent of all Texas lawyers to be recognized as the state’s best.
The two trial lawyers are recognized on the Texas Rising Stars roster for their expertise in serious personal injury cases. They were previously honored for their work in personal injury lawsuits on D Magazine’s 2022 list of the Best Lawyers Under 40.
Mr. Robin and Mr. Williams have helped the firm win billions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for the firm’s clients. They served as key members of the winning legal team from Hamilton Wingo that scored a $7.37 billion verdict in a wrongful death case last year in Dallas. The record-setting jury award is ranked as the largest verdict in 2022 nationwide.
Before joining Hamilton Wingo, Mr. Robin gained valuable experience working for worldwide law firms in complex business disputes and personal injury cases. Mr. Williams is one of the rare young lawyers to try more than 50 cases before judges and juries.
Today, both attorneys focus on representing people in all types of injury and death lawsuits involving transportation crashes, industrial catastrophes, dangerous products, workplace safety issues, and many other areas.
