BIOGRAPHY
Sean T. Cook is a skilled trial attorney with a focus on catastrophic injury cases. He has years of experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants, which provides him with a unique skill set and the expertise needed to navigate complex personal injury matters. Like all the attorneys at Hamilton Wingo, Sean is a great communicator who puts his clients first. He relishes the opportunity to fight for the injured and to tell their stories.
In 2024, Sean was part of a trial team that secured a multimillion-dollar unanimous verdict against Walmart after an employee ran over a customer in the parking lot, causing him to suffer a broken hip that required surgery. That verdict ranked among the Top 50 Jury Verdicts in Texas in 2024.
Prior to joining the firm, Sean handled a large volume of plaintiff personal injury and employment law cases as the lead attorney throughout all stages of litigation. As a result of his dedication to his clients and the practice of law, Sean was honored on the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list as one of the nation’s top young attorneys. No more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in a state are named to the Rising Stars list each year.
Sean is a graduate of Florida State University and the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. While in law school, Sean served on the school’s National Trial Advocacy Board as well as the Dean’s Leadership Council. Sean is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, and Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He lives in the Dallas area with his wife, Erin, and enjoys playing golf, reading, exercising, and traveling in his free time.
