BIOGRAPHY
Jaime Michelle DeWees is a skilled trial lawyer with years of experience in state and federal courts across Texas and nationwide. She meticulously researches the facts and develops effective case strategies to advocate for clients in pretrial negotiations, jury trials, and legal appeals. Jaime excels at telling her clients’ stories at trial in a cohesive and memorable way, and takes pride in being the voice for otherwise voiceless victims of negligence.
Jaime spent nearly a decade representing plaintiffs in complex business lawsuits and commercial arbitrations before joining Hamilton Wingo to represent individuals and families seeking justice. She previously counseled businesses on risk mitigation and fostering safe and supportive company policies. In her litigation practice, she draws on this experience to establish legal responsibility for harm caused by companies in our communities.
Jaime is passionate about helping people who have suffered because of someone else’s negligence, carelessness, or intentional bad acts. One example is when she represented an elderly couple after they lost their life savings in a real estate investment that was grossly misrepresented in bad faith by a crooked seller. At the end of a federal trial involving claims for fraud and breach of contract, the jury found in favor of Jaime’s clients and awarded them a multimillion-dollar verdict. The jury’s award was fully affirmed by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
Jaime has earned selections on the annual Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list since 2020 for her work in civil lawsuits. She has been named in The Best Lawyers in America One’s to Watch list for her work based on nominations from other lawyers.
Away from the office, Jaime enjoys spending time with her family while doing something fun outside, like yoga or walking their dog. Jaime is a Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Community-Based Program and enjoys many informal mentoring relationships with local law students at the SMU Dedman School of Law and UNT Dallas College of Law. She is an active member of the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association.

Our Clients Are More Than Cases
That was until I was referred to The Hamilton/Wingo Law firm. I was involved in a horrific accident with a semi ,by a friend, not from some billboard or some rich/angry lawyers in a commercial.
Please do your research. I never felt like just a number
I dont feel its pertinent, to my review by detailing my injuries
From the very initiation of our relationship I was assured, and comforated,by the staff.I knew this process was going to take time. God was in control along with the H&W pros. The process took almost 2 years.
Medical bills were processed by Adi Gomez with amazing accuracy. Solina Moreno wins the heavy lifting award for securing all legal docs in preparation for my case. Attorney ,Kristi Wood, kept me informed and assured we were ready to begin litigation.
We tried mediation, led by Paul Wingo, which was to no avail. Trail was set for December.
Sonia Garcia and Judy Ortega were first rate settlement assistants far beyond my belief in helping Paul prepare for negotiation.
Settlement was reached prior to trail.
My settlement amount was beyond amazement
I dont believe life happens by accident. I have totally turned control of my life to a much wiser sprit
My five star rating was five stars to short
This expierance is the best Ive had in a long time.
Second only to my wife leaving me
